This was a refurb project for the Department of Defence – Building 52. This is a data store for the Armed Forces.
The project was a tedious one given the existing conditions, substantial amounts of furniture and occupied spaces.
We carried out the removal of existing dual bonded carpet, moving and work around of existing furniture including its protection followed by relevant subfloor preparation and installation of new carpet tiles, luxury vinyl planks and stair nosing’s/ detail trims.
The installation footprint involved a large, tiered theatre, stairs, tiered platforms housing archive shelving (which was worked around) and breakout areas.
The project was a success despite a lot of logistics and detailed installation which was a credit to all involved.
